Russia’s State TV Calls Trump Their ‘Agent’

Let’s see how a Trump apologist explains that away. It’s just another smoking gun that proves the occupant in the White House is a traitor to his country:

Sometimes a picture doesn’t have to be worth a thousand words. Just a few will do. As Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov returned home from his visit with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office last week, Russian state media was gloating over the spectacle. TV channel Rossiya 1 aired a segment entitled “Puppet Master and ‘Agent’—How to Understand Lavrov’s Meeting With Trump.”

Vesti Nedeli, a Sunday news show on the same network, pointed out that it was Trump, personally, who asked Lavrov to pose standing near as Trump sat at his desk. It’s almost the literal image of a power behind the throne.

Trump Upset with FOX News Poll Showing Majority Want him Impeached

Once again Trump is upset with a FOX News poll showing him in a bad light: It’s not the first time the liar-in-chief was upset with the network that helped put him in the White House:

Same poll shows him losing ground to the Democrats in next year’s presidential election:

Trump is Back to Attacking Women

Maybe he attacks women because he is trying to get back at his mother. Whatever his reasons The Donald is getting more obscene by the day.

He particularly dislikes Pelosi since he stands up to him. Maybe someone should point out to him that his constant attacks on powerful women hurts his general election prospects. His poll numbers among women are particularly bad.

But his attack of Greta Thunberg is particularly disgusting. And all because she was selected as Time ‘Person of the Year’:

How petty and small minded do you have to be jealous of a 16-year-old. There is nothing beneath Donald Trump. He is the scum of the earth:

Anthony Scaramucci Predicts Exact Month Donald Trump Will Abandon 2020 Race

He makes a lot of sense. Too bad he didn’t say this much earlier:

“He’s gonna drop out of the race because it’s gonna become very clear. Okay, it’ll be March of 2020. He’ll likely drop out by March of 2020. It’s gonna become very clear that it’s impossible for him to win,” the former (short-lived) White House communications director said in an interview with Vanity Fair published Friday.

“And is this the kind of guy that’s gonna want to be that humiliated and lose as a sitting president?” asked Scaramucci, who in recent weeks has turned on and feuded with his former boss, likening him to the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.

“He’s got the self-worth in terms of his self-esteem of a small pigeon. It’s a very small pigeon. Okay,” Scaramucci continued about Trump. “And so you think this guy’s gonna look at those poll numbers and say — he’s not gonna be able to handle that humiliation.”

Scaramucci, who on Friday claimed Twitter temporarily locked him out of his account after he called Trump “the fattest president” in response to his fat-shaming of a supporter at a rally, also turned to HBO’s epic fantasy drama “Game of Thrones” to help him explain why he believes Trump should face a Republican primary challenger.

Shell Workers Had To Attend Trump Speech To Be Paid, Were Ordered Not To Protest

This is fascism. And if Trump is re-elected expect more of this:

Workers at a massive new Shell plant in Pennsylvania had to attend a speech by President Donald Trump there earlier this week to be paid — and were ordered not to protest, reported the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Attendance was not mandatory for thousands of union workers at Royal Dutch Shell’s petrochemical plant north of Pittsburgh, but they had to forfeit pay for the day if they skipped, according to attendance and comportment information obtained by the newspaper.

“Your attendance is not mandatory,” one manager told workers, summarizing a memo that Shell sent to union leaders, the Post-Gazette reported, but only those who showed up at 7 a.m., scanned their ID cards and prepared to stand for hours through lunch would be paid.

Construction workers prepare to battle former ally Trump

Workers who voted for Trump in 2016 are starting to realize that this guy is a fraud:

One of the nation’s largest labor groups embraced Donald Trump at the start of his presidency, in hopes he would create construction jobs and retreat from proposals that might reduce workers’ wages.

But now the two sides are on the brink of war, endangering a key bloc of Trump’s support in Midwestern swing states in 2020.

Fox News poll: Trump disapproval rises to near record

Now with the stock market/economy tanking Trump’s numbers will drop like a rock:

President Trump‘s disapproval rating has jumped to 56 percent in a Fox News survey released Wednesday, just one point shy of the record high in Fox News polling.

The survey found a 5 percentage point increase in Trump’s disapproval from last month. The only time his disapproval rating was higher, according to Fox News, was when it reached 57 percent in October 2017.

Forty-three percent of respondents said they approve of Trump’s job performance, down from 46 percent last month. The record low for Trump approval in Fox News’s polling is 38 percent, also from October of 2017.

Trump is already upset with FOX News from a previous poll:

According to CNN’s poll of polls, which averages the results of the most recent national surveys, Biden (30 percent) has opened up a wide lead over Sens. Elizabeth Warren (16 percent), Bernie Sanders (14 percent) and Harris (12 percent), who has slipped back to fourth place from second. The California senator shot up to 17 percent in the same poll immediately following the first debate, then trailing Biden by just 8 points. She now trails him by 18.

Job Growth under Trump still less than during the Obama Presidency

Trump is fond of defending his economic record. But even there he’s second rate:

Donald Trump has now been in office for 30 full months – February 2017 through July 2019 – and in that time, the economy has created 5.74 million jobs. In the 30 months preceding Trump’s presidency – August 2014 to January 2017 – the economy created 6.61 million jobs.

The economy is not really growing all that much despite all the big promises from the ‘great leader:’

If the U.S. economy ever enjoyed a “Trump bump,” then it has been replaced by a “Trump slump.”

New GDP numbers released Friday showed the economy grew 2.5% last year– decent, but not the 3% President Donald Trump promised to deliver with his buffet of tax cuts and deregulation. And the economy slowed to a 2.1% annualized rate in the latest quarter – again, not horrible, but off the pace of the past decade and slowed by Trump’s ready-fire-aim approach to global trade. Presidents don’t really have that much influence on economic growth, notes Justin Fox; but the “economic turnaround of historic proportions” Trump promised is hard to discern from 30,000 feet:

The Resistance Report: 8-1-19

Trump gave a race rally in Cincinnati. And he was met with resistors:

These are brave people. And Trump wasn’t too happy about. Which makes it even better.
