Trump: Biden ‘is Going to be Your President’

Don’t believe me? listen to his own words:

And what would be the point of a second term. Trump can’t even name what he would do in the next 4 years. Maybe at this point he has resigned himself to defeat and doesn’t want to bother:

Hannity asked Trump: “If you hear in 131 days from now, at some point in the night or early morning: ‘We can now project Donald J. Trump has been re-elected the 45th president of the United States’—let’s talk. What’s at stake in this election as you compare and contrast, and what is one of your top priority items for a second term?”

A completely stumped Trump decided to riff and wound up rambling off a mess of words that were tailor-made for the viral comedic sensation Sara Cooper’s next lip-synch video.

His polling numbers are bad. They point to a landslide defeat for Trump:

A half dozen new swing-state polls released Thursday morning suggest that not only would President Donald Trump lose if the election were held today, he would lose in a landslide.

The surveys, conducted by The New York Times and Siena College, show Trump trailing former Vice President Joe Biden by double digits in Michigan (Biden +11), Wisconsin (Biden +11) and Pennsylvania (Biden+ 10) and by mid-single digits in North Carolina (Biden +9), Arizona (Biden +7) and Florida (Biden +6).

Trump won every one of those states in the 2016 election. Switch them from red to blue and you can quickly see just how bad hings look for Trump at the moment.

As a result even the rats are abandoning the ship before it sinks:

White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett is leaving the administration after his second tour of duty under the tumultuous presidency of Donald Trump, and he shared an ominous warning about the country’s future in an interview Monday with the Washington Post.

“I think everyone should be worried about how this is going to turn out in the end, because it’s a shock unlike anything we’ve ever seen,” Hassett said. “Certainly, the crisis is not over — and there’s a lot of work to do.”

Trump realizes he’s in deep trouble. His incredible narcissism can’t change the overwhelming numbers. Which raises the question of Trump quitting before hand rather than face humiliating defeat:

Saying the Donald Trump “fears losing more than he cares about winning,” MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough suggested the president might step aside rather than go down in a historic defeat in November’s election.

With co-host Mika Brzezinski noting several normally Republican states showing the president losing to presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden, Scarborough and “Morning Joe” regular Donny Deutsch agreed that — for the moment — it appears that the President has given up on trying to win the election.

…Stating the Biden might be the recipient of “375, possibly even 400, electoral votes.” Scarborough added. “Donald Trump does not want to carry that around the rest of his life. He wants to carry around the fact that he scored one of the greatest political upsets of all time. He’s known when to leave the stage before — again, I’m the only one saying this — I would not be surprised if he left the stage again. And again, I’m the only person saying it. Don’t think it’ll happen, but it’s a possibility.”

Trump might be down and on his way out. But that doesn’t mean he isn’t dangerous. He could cause a lot more suffering and destruction than he already has:

Now wounded, Trump is resorting to a kind of political terror campaign, spreading blatant lies about foreign-based election fraud and a “RIGGED 2020 ELECTION.” Trump’s false claims, which have been repeatedly debunked by CNN and others, destroy public trust in the foundation of our democracy and set the stage for a potentially dangerous crisis if voters end up questioning the results on Election Day.
